AIDAF
The collaboration between AIDAF and Bocconi began in 2003 with the establishment of the first Bocconi Chair funded by an external private entity: the AIDAF-Alberto Falck Chair of Family Business Strategy. The chair was named after entrepreneur Alberto Falck, founder and president of Aidaf. Established in 1997, AIDAF has been a stable partner for any stakeholder interested in initiatives concerning family businesses. In 2015, the new AIDAF-EY Chair in in Strategic Management in family business was inaugurated in memory of Alberto Falck . The chair is also supported by EY (Ernst&Young). The chair, whose holder is Guido Corbetta, Full Professor of Business Strategy at Bocconi University, aims to develop various research projects in the area of family businesses that are characterized by rigor and relevance, and translate into publications, conferences, seminars and other dissemination activities. The central idea of the project is to disseminate the knowledge gained to an audience consisting of entrepreneurs, managers, scholars, researchers and policy-makers. The ultimate goal is to help establish the AIDAF-EY Chair and Bocconi University as a key reference point on these issues both nationally and internationally.
Through the creation of a perpetual Chair, AIDAF has chosen to donate to endowment by demonstrating great confidence in the University, its mission and its management of resources. The endowment is in fact the University's endowment fund, a capital that the University invests for the long term and that generates an annual return, which guarantees the independence and sustainability of Bocconi's activities over time.
