Looking ahead to the future together
There are moments that don’t need to be announced, but are simply recognized. Moments when a community gathers and chooses to imagine the future together. Yesterday, during Bocconi’s first Homecoming, Alumni, Donors, Faculty and friends came together alongside President Andrea Sironi and Rector Francesco Billari to celebrate the launch of the new Fundraising Campaign 2026–2030 and to mark the transition to the Strategic Plan 2026–2030.
It was an evening filled with reflection and emotion, enriched by an artistic performance directed by Marco Pelle, Bocconi faculty member and choreographer, featuring Martina Arduino and Marco Agostino, First Dancers of Teatro alla Scala, together with our students and young Alumni.
But that was not all. It was also an event of reflection on the achievements of the Strategic Plan 2021–2025, which has seen significant progress in the “silent stage” of the fundraising campaign. Key milestones have included attracting top talent, reinforcing Bocconi’s role as a social elevator, advancing impactful research and internationalization, and consolidating our global standing. Today, our mission remains clear and faithful to the one inspired by Ferdinando Bocconi’s donation in 1902: to create opportunities for future generations through education and knowledge.
Looking ahead, the Strategic Plan 2026–2030 continues in this spirit. Our goal is ambitious, €200 million by 2030, because our mission is just as ambitious — to shape a future that is inclusive, fair, sustainable and shared.
As Rector Francesco Billari reminded us, Bocconi is a unique place where research creates real impact and where every student can grow and thrive regardless of their starting point. In 1902, Ferdinando Bocconi’s donation gave future generations a place to grow. Today, we renew that vision and ask our community to join us in making it borderless.
