Algebris Training Camp 2026

From Theory to Practice: Bocconi Students at Work on Long-Term Investment Strategies.

From January 26 to 30, 2026, the seventh edition of the Algebris Training Camp took place at SDA Bocconi School of Management. The initiative, developed in collaboration with Algebris Investments, is an integral part of the Algebris Chair in Long-term Investment and Absolute Return, supported by Algebris and entrusted to Professor Stefano Caselli, Dean of SDA Bocconi School of Management.

The Training Camp represents one of the key milestones of the Chair’s program and aims to provide students with an immersive and highly practical experience focused on long-term investment and absolute return strategies. Both the Camp and the Chair are expressions of the Strategic Partnership between Bocconi and Algebris, born from the vision and strong commitment of Davide Serra, Bocconi Alumnus of the Year 2024 and Bocconi Donor. He actively participates in the program, contributing to discussions with students and to the final evaluation of the projects.

Over the course of an entire week, 40 MSc students from 10 countries, selected from various programs – with strong representation from the MSc in Finance – worked in 7 groups to develop investment strategies based on real-world cases, exploring key topics such as global equity and ESG investing.

A distinctive feature of the Camp is the direct engagement with leading professionals and academics, who supported participants throughout their project work: Rosanna Burcheri (Fidelity International), Massimiliano Cagliero (Banor SIM), Stefano Caselli (Bocconi University), Francesco de Mojana (Buono Investment Club), Antonella Di Chio, Gabriele Foà, Silvia Merler and Simone Ragazzi (Algebris Investments).

The experience concluded with the traditional final pitching session, during which the groups presented their investment strategies to Davide Serra, Professor Caselli and the Algebris Investments team, in a highly educational and engaging moment of direct exchange.

The 2026 edition confirms the Algebris Training Camp as a high-profile experience, successfully integrating theory and practice while offering students a concrete opportunity to engage with the professional world, further strengthening the bridge between academia and the financial industry.
