Luca Mignini: Transformation, Gratitude, and the Future
My time at the Bocconi Residence Hall was a significant period in my life, during which I shared extraordinary human experiences and formed lasting friendships. That’s why I chose to honor it with a concrete gesture, while also supporting the students of today and tomorrow -Luca Mignini, Business Administration, 1986
Former Campbell’s executive and now Professor of Innovation and Management at Bocconi, Luca Mignini describes his experience at one of the Bocconi residences as transformational — an experience that fundamentally changed his way of living and shaped his entire life. At the Bocconi Residence, he met students from diverse backgrounds and came to appreciate the meaningful impact of scholarships, forming strong and lasting bonds. His deep sense of belonging to his Alma Mater inspired him to express gratitude to the people — family and others — who have been key points of reference throughout his life. He chose to do so by naming three spaces in the Bocconi Residence on Via Bocconi 12, dedicating named scholarships in memoriam, and supporting the Bocconi in Opera project.
Today, as a professor, Luca helps young people learn by sharing his direct, real-world experience — a symbolic passing of the baton from one generation to the next. As he often notes, helping deserving individuals grow and investing in the future is, on a human level, far more meaningful than simple financial support.
