Educational Inclusion initiatives
Scientific Director of LEAP

Through innovative projects and high-profile strategic partnerships, Bocconi is committed to combating educational poverty and promoting social inclusion through education. The Laboratory for Effective Anti-Poverty Policies (LEAP) closely studies the scale and context of educational poverty in Italy, thanks to an agreement with INVALSI and MIUR, which guarantees access to official data. Established with a donation from the Fondazione Romeo ed Enrica Invernizzi and supported for specific projects by Fondazione Cariplo and Unicredit Foundation, LEAP provides policymakers with empirical evidence to design educational measures, experimental projects and solutions to combat truancy, thereby improving services and educational offerings throughout Italy.
In addition, Bocconi has been promoting the “A Scuola d’Inclusione” project since 2023, in collaboration with Dynamo Camp, Intesa Sanpaolo, and with the support of Affari Pubblici (Public Affairs). The project invites high school students to reflect on the causes of social exclusion, such as poverty, mental health or disability, and to propose concrete solutions to address these challenges. To date, over 2,200 students have been involved.
