Behavioral sciences in service of politics and economics
Fondazione Romeo ed Enrica Invernizzi Chair in Behavioral Economics and Finance

Behavioral sciences are fundamental to understanding the dynamics of individual and collective decisions, providing policymakers with research-based information to address the complex challenges of today. Through innovative research, these disciplines promote more effective public policies and measurable results. This commitment is reinforced by the new chairs established at Bocconi thanks to the support of Donors: the Behavioral Economics and Finance Chair, financed by the Fondazione Romeo ed Enrica Invernizzi, held by Professor Nicola Gennaioli, and the European Policies-Shaping Leadership in Europe Chair, an endowed chair established by Generali Assicurazioni, held by Professor Catherine De Vries. Both explore themes such as decision-making processes, social welfare and the role of institutions, helping to shed light on previously unexplored aspects of society and global economies.
