Welcome on Board! First-year Students Benefiting from Donor Support Discover the Value of the Bocconi Community
On November 5 and 6, Bocconi held its annual onboarding sessions, an event dedicated to first-year students who have received a named scholarship. These students are directly supported by Donors — individuals, Alumni, companies, or foundations — who choose to believe in young people’s talent and future.
Throughout the sessions, students had the opportunity to explore what it truly means to be the recipient of such special support: not merely financial aid, but an entry into a community grounded in shared values, experience, and generosity. Receiving a named scholarship means feeling the tangible support of those who believe in one’s potential and in the transformative power of education. It is an act of trust in the future; a future in which these students, in turn, will have the chance to become agents of change in their careers and communities, and perhaps one day offer others the same opportunity they have been given today.
The event concluded with a networking session, a group photoshoot, and the collection of heartfelt thank-you messages for the Donors, a gesture of gratitude and enthusiasm that reflects how deeply the new students value this important connection and new beginning.
The onboarding sessions represent the first step in a year-long journey designed to bring beneficiaries together through opportunities for connection, sharing, and personal growth within the supportive network that unites Donors, Alumni, and Bocconi students.
