Bocconi Unveils its Donor Wall, a Tangible Sign of Gratitude

Presented during the University’s first Homecoming, the Donor Wall pays tribute to the generosity of Bocconi’s major donors and highlights the role of philanthropy as a catalyst for growth and innovation.

During its first Homecoming - three days that brought together more than 4,000 Alumni from around the world - Bocconi inaugurated the Donor Wall, an initiative dedicated to celebrating the major donors who, through their support, have contributed to the growth of students, research, and development projects at the University.

Located in the atrium of Bocconi’s historic building at Via Sarfatti 25, the physical Donor Wall stands as a permanent sign of gratitude toward those who have believed in Bocconi’s mission. Alongside it, a digital version is also displayed in the atrium of Via Röntgen 1.

The initiative was created to acknowledge the foundational and transformative role of philanthropy, an element that has accompanied the University’s history since its inception. At the top of the Wall, the founders and pioneers of the University are commemorated, followed by the donors who, over time, have supported projects and fundraising campaigns, from 2000 to today.

The Donor Wall is intended not only as a tribute to those who have already contributed, but also as an inspiring symbol for future generations, one capable of promoting awareness of the value of philanthropy and a shared sense of responsibility toward societal progress.

Through these installations, Bocconi renews its commitment to preserving and nurturing a culture of generosity, recognizing the contribution of those who, with trust and vision, participate in building the University’s future.
