Shaping the Future of AI

Bocconi’s new Strategic Plan seeks to position the University as a leading institution in the ethical and human-centered integration of artificial intelligence.

Our partnership with Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo is part of this effort: through significant support for students enrolled in the Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence program and the establishment of the AI Lab, the foundation is helping to strengthen teaching and research in the field, promote social inclusion and support sustainable growth for Italy. This partnership combines philanthropy with long-term strategic vision, resulting in a project that addresses today’s challenges and fosters the development of the skills needed to face the future.

Further exploration of these topics is also supported by the Chair in Computer Science, funded by Fondazione Romeo ed Enrica Invernizzi and reassigned to Professor Marc Mézard following the untimely passing of Luca Trevisan. With a strong interdisciplinary focus, this chair marks the start of a new phase of research at Bocconi, in which physics engages with artificial intelligence to help interpret and anticipate future change.
