Tech Europe Foundation

Tech Europe Foundation was created to bridge the structural gap between Europe’s scientific excellence and the creation of deep tech startups, a gap that Europe can no longer afford to ignore. The collaboration with Bocconi University and Politecnico di Milano is an integral part of this mission: the talents capable of transforming a discovery into a high-potential technological venture begin to develop precisely within universities, and supporting these institutions means investing in the very foundations of innovation at the European level.

TEF (Tech Europe Foundation) is a non-profit foundation born from a collaboration between key stakeholders: Bocconi University, Politecnico di Milano, ION, FSI, and the Milan Chamber of Commerce. Its mission is to bridge the structural gap between European scientific excellence and the creation of Deep Tech startups.

The Foundation is a Strategic Partner of our University and supports researchers through scholarships for PhD candidates and postdoctoral fellows. It also promotes TEF Ignition, a 6-week program dedicated to students from Bocconi University and Politecnico di Milano: a hands-on pathway to transform an idea into an entrepreneurial project, guided by mentors who are themselves startup founders.

The scholarships supported by TEF aim to foster the development of high-tech initiatives, also helping researchers turn the results of their work into concrete and scalable businesses.
