Fondazione Aristide Merloni
Fondazione Aristide Merloni was established in 1963 through the vision of Aristide and Francesco Merloni, with the aim of fostering the creation of new businesses in the inland areas of the Apennines.
Today, the Foundation operates primarily in the fields of economic research and education, with a particular focus on entrepreneurship, industry and corporate social responsibility. Through studies, projects, and cultural and scientific initiatives, it promotes a vision of development centred on innovation, the enhancement of human capital and progress, in keeping with its original mission.
The Foundation became a Strategic Partner of Bocconi University in 2026 through the establishment of the Francesco Merloni Chair in Entrepreneurship. Held by Professor Andrea Fosfuri, this named, permanent endowed chair aims to advance the study of entrepreneurship in technological and innovative contexts by integrating theoretical advances, methodological innovation and data development.
